This amazingly easy coleslaw recipe is our go-to when it comes to any meal requiring coleslaw. Add some fresh lime, a squirt of Sriracha, and chopped cilantro, and voila! You’ve got a delicious fish taco condiment. We like to mix up what kind of vinegar we put in it. Lately I’ve been using a local honey vinegar which adds it’s own sweetness. In that case I would use a little less sugar. Just plain old white vinegar works really well.
Ingredients
- 9oz Coleslaw Mix (or chop red and green cabbage with shredded carrots)
- 1/3 Cup Mayonnaise
- 1 Tablespoon Vinegar (start with this and add more to taste a teaspoon at a time)
- 1/2 Tablespoon Sugar (remember to adjust of your vinegar is on the sweeter side)
Instructions
- Put the coleslaw mix in a bowl
- Add mayonnaise
- Stir
- Add vinegar and sugar
- Stir
- Taste
- Adjust as necessary
- Allow to sit in fridge for at least half an hour to let the flavors meld
