You can use this same basic recipe with either russet potatoes, or sweet potatoes. A good basic rule of thumb is one potato per person. That will make a lot, but you won’t have to worry about running out. The best part about these is they’re so easy and tasty, and so much healthier than fast food fries.
How to make them:
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees
Clean the potatoes, and cut lenthwise into steak fry sized wedges (you can make them thinner, but too thin and they’ll just dry out)
Line a baking sheet with foil
Spread the sliced potatoes out in one layer
Sprinkle with salt and pepper
Give them a good coating of pan spray on top, this is what gets them nice and crispy on the outside
Bake for 10 minutes, then give them a shake and a turn with the tongs
Bake for another 5-10 minutes (longer for thicker, shorter for thinner)
Voila! Enjoy with your favorite dip, or give a good toss in some minced garlic and parsley for easy tasty garlic fries.
