11 Fall Outdoor Activities
1. Leaf Printing from Freshly Planted
This gets kids outside gathering leaves, then brings it in for a fun finished product. The hippie in me loves leaf paintings!
2. Outdoor Fall Obstacle Course by The Chaos and the Clutter
This one takes a little more planning, but you should be able to find everything you need right in your home.
3. Tips for Going Apple Picking by Premeditated Leftovers
YES!!!! Apple picking is like the quintessential fall activity.
4. Fall STEM Apple Races from Little Bins for Little Hands
And then if you need something to do with all those apples, here’s something educational you can do that’s also fun!
5. Nature Name Activity by Mrs. Jones’ Creation Station
This one might be one of my favorites. I love the idea of going out and gathering various foliage to then write your name with.
6. Giant Outdoor Games from Etsy
This combo is from the Russet Road Games shop, but if you just type “outdoor games” into the Etsy search it will bring up a ton of fun stuff you can take to the park or do right in your back yard.
7. Fall Leaf Hunt from KC Edventures
This activity comes with a printable to help identify and collect different types of leaves.
8. Halloween Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt from Frogs and Fairies
It’s like an Easter egg hunt, but with cute pumpkin cutouts and no giant creepy bunny lurking around.
9. Go Camping
Just because school has started, and it feels like summer is over, does NOT mean that camping season is done for the year. Fall is one of the best times to go camping because it’s so much less crowded, and your tent doesn’t turn into an oven during the day!
10. Fall Family Bingo from KC Edventures
Here’s a fun BINGO card you can fill up as you do your fall activities!
11. Go for a Hike
Check out this awesome book on hiking with kids, it’s chock full of great information.
Now you are armed with all kinds of fun things to do outside this fall, go enjoy yourself!
